That’s why we encourage you to visit the breeder’s premises, meet the puppies, and get to know your new best friend face to face.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of how the adoption process works at Tomshepherds; from first contact to bringing your puppy home.
What to Expect During the Adoption Process
1. Find a Puppy You Love
Start by browsing our Available Puppies. When a puppy catches your eye, click on their listing to view more details.
2. Connect with the Us
Reach out to us by phone, text or e-mail to ask any questions you have about the puppy. This is a great opportunity to get to know about us, learn more about the puppy’s personality, the parents, and ask about the environment in which they’re being raised.

3. Reserve Your Puppy
Once you’ve connected with a pupp and you are ready to move forward, you can place a reservation directly on our website through the contact us form. This will:
- Instantly remove the puppy from our website listings
- Secure your spot as the new owner
- Trigger a confirmation email with payment details
4. Schedule Pickup or Delivery
After reserving your puppy, we’ll contact you directly to schedule a visit for pickup or arrange for third-party delivery if you’re not local, we will give you our address. Please note, the address on our website is for our main office only.
Whether you’re planning to visit in person or need transport assistance, we will help coordinate the best option for you and your new pup.
5. Final Payment Options
You’re welcome to:

Or bring cash when you go to meet the breeder
6. Bring Home Your New Best Friend
Whether you visit us in person or receive your puppy through a trusted transport service, we’re here to make the transition as smooth as possible.
